Electric water heater

The electric side of our water heater stopped heating a couple days ago. It's an Atwood. The propane works fine to heat our water, but want to get it repaired.
I checked for loose wires and corrosion, took off the control board and checked it visually, checked fuses, but haven't removed the element And left my voltage meter at home.
Any suggestions for next steps?

Research the resistance of the element and get a multimeter at any hardware store.
Does your microwave work? There is a relay that controls power to HWH and microwave so you can’t operate both at the same time. That could be your problem.

I would replace the unit with an On Demand Heater.

It really depends on your individual practices if an on demand heater is the right equipment. I Winter camp in a highly modified 07VJ. The tank HWH, H2O tank, and pump are all in the same compartment. The HWH “heats” that entire area allowing me to boondock at snowboarding areas down to -8° with my mods.
A tankless unit won’t do this. “One size does not fit all” Fwiw. Roger07VJ N ID snowboarding
