Thanks in advance for any advice
My brake lights are on all the time and this has melted the plastic around the bulbs I recently replaced the brake light switch behind the brake pedal unsure if this has anything to do with my present situation Thanks |

Did it by chance fall out of adjustment or of an inferior mfg. style with early failure? Do you watch pressing the brake action with camera or flexible body and see if the actuator moves, did you test the actuator outside of the mount to see if it works stand-alone and the adjustment is off, did you remove the wires from the switch and the stop lamp go off?

All thanks for any of your thoughts I figured it out Apparently the “OEM” switch from NAPA that I recently installed is not properly actuated by the brake arm and thus not switching off the brake lights. Unfortunately it is going to be an expensive fix now because both tails lights are damaged and I need a new switch. As you may know the switch is not easy to install All the best kind regards Thanks in advance for any advice |

Just so others can see another possibility for this, the brake light bulbs are easy to install backwards. The nipples are offset to encourage only one way to install them but it’s easy to do it wrong. Mine was like this. I had to rotate the bulbs 180 degrees so that the brake/tail lamp were correct.
